On what should have been a fun-filled day at the races, Nick O’Bannon has a horrific premonition in which a bizarre sequence of events causes multiple race cars to crash, sending flaming debris into the stands, brutally killing his friends and causing the upper deck of the stands to collapse on him. When he comes out of this grisly nightmare Nick panics, persuading his girlfriend, Lori, and their friends, Janet and Hunt, to leave… escaping seconds before Nick’s frightening vision becomes a terrible reality. The Horde Movie Trailer

We all know that zombie movies make great horror. We also know that the French make great horror. But what happens when you get a French zombie movie? You get The Horde, slated for release August 29.

The eternal battle between police and criminal, already dramatized in several different movies, gets a whole new wrinkle when Zombie Apocalypse lands on their heads. Check out the trailer.

I’m not sure how this could be a bad thing–between the sheer amount of punch the trailer packed in, the track record of French horror, and the sheer fun of a zombie movie, it’s hard to imagine how this couldn’t turn out well.
